There were lots of things I should have carefully planned for choosing the Top 10 People with the Brilliant Minds, Visions and Guts, but it made me think that the group I’ve chosen deserves the credits. No one is perfect in choosing the “Best” but this maybe a perfect example of agility, in which I thought was so inspiring.

Now, let me introduce to you the people whom I considered “Geniuses” with their ideas, visions and bravery, from top to bottom.

MRS. HELENA CARRATALA MANDER – Madam Helena Carratalà was born in Barcelona, Spain on 13 July 1951. She used to be a Prima Donna of the Rag Trade as commented by a famous personality – Ms. Julie Yap Daza, Manila Women’s Wear, 1979. She’s truly a wholly creative, brave and focused human being, who pursued her dream of the “Utopian World”. She has done everything to prove that impossible is possible.

Mr. King was able to construct a totally different adventure in the country, as he introduced the “World’s First Edge Coaster” that can only be found at the Sky Experience Adventure floors, situated on top or at the 38^th floor of the Crown Regency Hotel & Towers at Fuente Osmeňa, Cebu City (the tallest Hotel Tower in the country) www.skyexperienceadventure.com

It’s undeniably an enormous creation that he and only him has thought, visualized and bring into a reality. Who knows that maybe he can also build a 40^th floor deep building under the ground? It would be, again, another far-fetched idea.

PRES. GLORIA MACAPAGAL-AROYO – Her Excellency, our present Philippine President and daughter of the famous and also a previous Philippine President Diosdado Macapagal. Mrs. Aroyo was inspiring with her idea of proclaiming and celebrating the “Regular Philippine Holidays” to more easy and convenient days for workers; giving them more time with their families and/or other precedence.

Things that other leaders have forgotten to do, and it may be the reason why others are jealous too and mock instead of praising her.

MR. JAIME ZOBEL DE AYALA – Ayala used to be an elite area nationwide. It is such a dazzling thing that Mr. Ayala has done; developing a space into an elegant and become center of the Cities. He was able to shape the City of Makati to be the Business Center of the Philippines. In fact, his “Charter Idea” has made him more famous and shining as he became one of the Top Businessmen.

It is just a brilliant idea that he created a leasing contract for a space to be developed by an investor for a period of time, and become his own property in the end.

COL. ANTONIO CABANGON-CHUA – Chairman and CEO of ALC Group of Companies. He was also the previous Ambassador of Laos, and now one of the respected entrepreneurs. Col. Cabangon-Chua or “Amba” as called by many was intense in his vision of establishing a happy environment in his companies. That families could work all together in just one company, in which are extremely not practiced by other establishments.

Because he believes the saying “A Family who work close together creates a happy and a healthy working environment”. It may also be the reason why he called his company ALC or “A Lot of Companies” as shown on their company profile video, because he also aimed to provide Filipinos and families all their needs, from a pre-need plans, medical clinics, hotel and restaurants, automotives, entertainment, media and publishing, security agency and many more. He was able to do all these as he understands poverty, and as he used to be one in his early stage.

MR. HENRY SY – Nowadays, there were many great malls around the world but Mr. Sy has managed to be the first to build one in the whole Asia, in which is “The SM Mall of Asia”. It is truly an achievement that others might be able to break after another century. He actually started building the “Widest Mall in the Philippines” – SM Mega Mall and many more, in which people used to be amazed, entertained and unwind, because everything that they need can already be found inside.

MAYOR LITO ATIENZA – Mr. Atienza was the previous Mayor of Manila who really made the City lively and attractive to foreign visitors. He was able to practice “Human Rights” by providing things that people truly enjoy and do it freely without any rules that would kill their happiness. His project “Buhayin ang Maynila” was amazing.

He has established more lights on darker areas of Manila and transforms this into a more relaxing and entertaining place that can be compared to the other countries. A life that many people deserves to do after the long hours of work. In fact, he has given jobs to many unemployed Filipinos as they opened sites and spaces for business.

RUSTOM PADILLA – Mr. Rustom Padilla, one of the “Best Actors” in Philippine Cinema. A previously “Housemate” in the ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother, is now a lady. He called herself “Binibining Gandang-hari”, in which is a real bravery. He proves to herself that she doesn’t need to hide the truth. It’s an obvious thing and an inspiration that only few creations can do. Some people might not be in agreement, but as human being, Binibining Gandang-hari has just used her freedom and lives in certainty. It is totally her life adventure, she has pursued.

MANNY “PACMAN” PACQUIAO – Mr. Manny Pacquiao or famously know as “Pac Man” has proven too that he’s also unique. Due to his bravery and guts, he was able to make the Filipinos proud as he continuously bringing home a “World Class Trophies and Belts” as he fights with the famous boxers worldwide. He proves to all that it is not just an education that can bring you to the top, but also with your bravery and guts.

MR. RAFAEL L. KING – President of J. King & Sons Co. Ltd, Cebu City, Philippines. He was indeed a brilliant businessman and at the same time excellent architect and collector. He used to be lively in gathering crafts not found in any other spaces, in which are displayed in their properties, particularly at Crown Regency Residences in Guadalupe. He has able to preserve excellent pieces in which other people may not have seen before in their whole life.

He was creative in designing hotel rooms using his own collections, with the unique touch and ambiances. He has able to share and let their customers feel that they are in different places or even outside world. Maybe none else really takes time to do the same things. His adventure and pursuit in gathering pieces of art or antiques are truly astounding, in which you may feel you existed before time. www.crownregency.
